Wir haben ja bereits vor einigen Tagen das Spiel Hockey Nations 2010 in einem Preview etwas ausführlicher vorgestellt. Heute ist das erste echte 3D-Eishockey-Spiel für das iPhone endlich im AppStore erschienen. Nachdem der Release für den März vorhergesagt wurde, hat es also knapp eine Woche länger gedauert. Aber das wollen wir dem Entwickler Distinctive Wireless natürlich nicht übel nehmen, denn Vorfreude ist ja bekanntlich die schönste Freude… und die dürfte gerade bei Eishockey-Fans besonders groß gewesen sein. Denn seit geraumer Zeit kommen die Fans fast aller großen und beliebten Sportarten auf ihre Kosten. Fussball-Fans können mit FIFA 10 ihrem Hobby nachgehen, Basketballer mit NBA Live und Footballer kamen bei Madden NFL 10 auf ihre Kosten. Nur die Eishockey-Fans mussten lange in die Röhre schauen und sich mit “Alibi”-Eishockey-Spielen wie Stinger Table Hockey und Magnetic Sports Hockey begnügen. Das ist nun endlich anders…

Hockey Nations 2010 is a full arcade simulation of the sport featuring 14 national teams from around the World.
Hockey Nations is the first full scale 6 on 6 Hockey game for the iPhone & iPod Touch.
GAME MODES
•Go for Gold – can you win gold?
•World League – play all other teams, see who comes out on top.
•Exhibition – choose two teams and get started right away.
•Shoot-out – one on one with the keeper.
•Practice – spend some time learning the controls.
You control the action with the virtual direction pad that offers full 360 degree control as well as the 3 action buttons on the right-hand side of the screen.
You’re also in control of the settings for each game. The options allow you to have icing and offside rules either on or off. Additionally, for each game you decide the length of the game and the difficulty level.

Da dies aber laut Angaben des Entwicklers nur ein bis zum 9.4.2010 begrenzter Einführungspreis ist, solltest du nicht zu lange zögern.
